Groups & Organisations

Perth & Kinross is home to number of groups and organisations, both there to provide a social space to be yourself and more specific support in times of need.

LGBT+ Groups & Organisations

Perthshire Pride
The dedicated Pride for the region, celebrating equality and diversity since 2018!
They host an annual Pride celebrating every Summer as well as other social events throughout the year.

Perth Parrots Floorball Club
Formed in 2019 with the express purpose of offering a safe and welcoming space for the LGBTI community and allies. The Parrots host weekly training sessions and a wider community activity programme.

Transgender Perth
A social group for those who identify as transgender, non-binary or intersex, as well as their family, friends and allies.
They meet on the first Saturday of each month in Perth.

Tayside Youth Groups
LGBT Youth Scotland’s Tayside Youth Groups include GLOW (Perth) and Allsorts of Spectrum (Dundee), available for young LGBT people aged 13 – 25 based in P&K.
They work on a variety of projects and also offer 1:1 support sessions with youth workers.

Rainbow Rooms @ The Venue
Perth’s very own LGBTQ+ bar for events, celebrations and a safe space. Open Fri – Sun from 4pm till late.

Proud Saintees
The LGBTQ+ Fan Club for St Johnstone FC, Perth’s local football club. Find out more by visiting the Proud Saintees page.

Rock ‘n’ Groups
Perthshire’s variety of queer groups, including book readers, crafters, adventurers and Dungeon & Dragon campaigners!
With a mix of regular meets through the month, join the active groups on Facebook.

Rainbow Creatives LGBTQ+
An LGBTQ+ creative collective across Perth & Kinross, welcoming those from many creative backgrounds and those wishing to learn new skills too! Join the Facebook Group or visit our Rainbow Creatives page.


Support Services

PKAVS
PKAVS provides a range of help for people and families in Perth & Kinross. They provide support through a variety of hubs, as well as being the local Third Sector Interface. offering guidance to organisations and community groups.

CILPK
Centre For Inclusive Living is a user led organisation to support those with a wide range of disabilities, establishing what the need for change in the community is and how Perth & Kinross can improve it’s inclusion of everyone.

RASAC P&K
The Rape & Sexual Assault Centre provide support to those who are victims or survivors of any type of sexual abuse, or may be at risk of abuse. They support young people, women over 18 and those identify as women, and can also make referrals to Rape Crisis Scotland where appropriate.

Terrence Higgins Trust
THT Scotland provide sexual health support in Scotland. This includes providing free HIV self test kits, peer support for people living with HIV and/or Hep C in Scotland.

All Strong Scotland
A fitness, health and wellbeing charity based in Perth. They focus on providing programmes to promote physical activity, mindful relaxation and peer exchange.
They will provide a blended approach to support your physical and mental health.

Autism Initiatives Scotland
Regional support for those with diagnosed autism, offering supported living, one stop shops, work placements and training, and a variety of other tailored services.

FFLAG – Families & Friends
FFLAG is a national charity which offers support to families and friends of LGBTQ+ people.
They hold virtual national monthly meetings, of which we can share the details of if you wish to join – use our contact page for more details.

Samaritans (Perth Branch)
Offering a chat and support in times of need, with a free 24/7 phone service by phoning 116 123, wherever you are.
As a nationwide confidential listening service for people in need of someone to speak to.
